This core setting guide provides the character options players can choose from to create all manner of characters including those utilizing Tech Backgrounds – the sci-fi equivalent of Arcane Backgrounds, but based on technology - and whatever science fiction themed setting or campaign desired.

Unsere Partner vom polnischen Savage-Worlds-Verlag Gramel haben uns kürzlich um Unterstützung gebeten. Es ist Samstag und damit Zeit für unser erstes Wochenupdate des neuen Jahres. Bevor wir beginnen, sei der obligatorischer Hinweis erlaubt: Wie immer gilt, die aktuellsten Erscheinungstermine findet ihr in unserer Verlagswerkstatt und für die schnelle News zwischendurch empfiehlt es sich unseren Newsletter zu abonnieren. So verpasst ihr garantiert keine Info mehr.



Allgemeines

Bevor wir nun direkt mit den Produkten beginnen, noch ein paar allgemeine Erläuterungen vorweg. Zum einen haben wir die Verlagswerkstatt noch nicht mit den Daten aus diesem Update gefüttert. Was im Update steht, gilt also, da es aktueller ist. Wir werden die Werkstatt in den nächsten Tagen anpassen. Zum anderen haben wir uns bei der aktuellen Planung bemüht mit noch mehr Puffer zu arbeiten, damit Produkte die sich von Monat zu Monat verschieben künftig nicht mehr vorkommen. Wir sind uns bewusst, dass einige Produkte bereits sehr lange in der Pipeline sind und bemühen uns, diese so schnell wie möglich abzuarbeiten. Sollten wir schneller vorankommen, erscheinen die Produkte natürlich auch früher. Und nun zu den einzelnen Spiellinien.



Savage Worlds

Das nächste Produkt für Savage Worlds sind die beiden Hardcover für 50 Fathoms in der Standard- und der limitierten Edition. Der Drucktermin hat sich leider um ca. zwei Wochen nach hinten verschoben. Wir hatten den Auftrag im Dezember an die Druckerei geschickt und man hatte uns einen Druck im Januar versprochen, wenn die druckfertigen Dateien bald vorliegen. Leider hat sich die Fertigstellung dieser (unter anderem die Erstellung und Einarbeitung der deutschen Karte) am Ende doch verzögert, da unsere Kapazitäten in dieser Hinsicht aufgrund der Arbeiten am ersten Band des Dresden-Files-Rollenspiels gebunden waren. Dadurch haben wir die Frist verpasst und die Auslieferung verschiebt sich in den Folgemonat. Die Druckerei hat uns jedoch eine Lieferung zum 16.02.2018 zugesagt. Das tut uns natürlich sehr leid – wir bemühen uns, dass die Projekte künftig nicht mehr so dicht aneinanderliegen, beziehungsweise mehr Manpower für kurzfristige Aufgaben bereitsteht.

Nach 50 Fathoms erscheinen die Hardcover der Kompendien und des Grundregelwerks in der Standard- und der limitierten Edition. Wir rechnen mit der Anlieferung Ende Februar, es bleiben jedoch ein bis zwei Wochen Spielraum. Vorsichtshalber haben wir den Termin in der Werkstatt entsprechend angepasst.

Gemeinsam mit den Hardcovern erscheinen die Bennies und der Charakterbogenblock, so dass alles gemeinsam verschickt werden kann.

Das Horror-Abenteuer von Günther Lietz wird voraussichtlich im Juni 2018 erscheinen. Es kann auch schneller gehen, aber wir planen generell nun mit noch mehr Puffer. Die Kartendecks für Savage Worlds, Rippers und Hellfrost verschieben sich nochmal um einen Monat nach hinten und werden uns im März erreichen. Der Grund ist hier, dass wir die Decks nicht ohne Samples drucken lassen wollen und wir eine Lieferdauer von rund einem Monat haben. Die Stoffkarten werden beispielsweise per Luftfracht verschickt, aber das bietet die Druckerei der Decks leider nicht an.

Zu Socanth 2 und RunePunk habe ich derzeit noch keine genauen Termine und wir haben die Bücher erstmal auf Ende 2018 terminiert. Hierzu muss ich auch sagen, dass die übrigen offenen Produkte erst einmal Vorrang haben.

Die limitierten Ausgaben von Deadlands Reloaded, inklusive aller Goodies wie Münzen und Würfelbecher, verschieben sich auf März/April. Wir haben lange mit uns gerungen, ob wir die Goldschürfer-Edition refunden, da nur die Hälfte der Backer ihren Pledge bezahlt hat. Wir sind dann aber zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass das wohl vor allem an uns und dem mangelnden Vertrauen der Backer in die Umsetzung liegt, auch, wenn wir uns da eine offenere Kommunikation seitens der Backer gewünscht hätten. Schlussendlich gehen wir aber davon aus, dass wir die Bundle nach dem Erscheinen noch gut verkaufen können. Zumal, wenn ihr sie erstmal seht.

Die Abenteuer Wundgeritten und Coffin Rock erscheinen dann ungefähr einen Monat später. Die Deadlands-Stoffkarte erscheint gemeinsam mit der Symbaroum-Stoffkarte in gut zwei bis drei Wochen, sofern uns die Ansichtsexemplare überzeugen.

Die Arbeiten an Elyrion sind über die Feiertage und den Jahreswechsel ein wenig zum Erliegen gekommen, aber insgesamt kommen wir gut voran. Armin hat mir letzte Woche die letzten Kernregeln zur Abnahme geschickt und langsam können wir uns daran machen, über die Regeln hinaus zu planen und zu arbeiten. Digitale Produkte werden wir in den nächsten Wochen und Monaten veröffentlichen, sobald wir sie haben. Die Regeltexte werden wir den Backern auch als Arbeitsdateien schon zur Verfügung stellen. Gedruckte Produkte erreichen euch dann im Juli, und zwar der Basisband in beiden Editionen und der Band Eherne Treue. Einen Erscheinungstermin für die Kampagne kann ich euch leider noch nicht nennen – das wäre reine Spekulation. Sobald die Daten des Grundregelwerks komplett vorliegen, kann ich das auch erst wirklich planen. Klar ist aber, dass wir Elyrion mit den Produkten des Crowdfundings nicht beenden werden. Wir haben so viele Ideen für die Nordreiche und die Arbeit daran macht so viel Spaß, dass wir das Projekt ausbauen werden.

Nebula Arcana folgt dann danach und ist derzeit für den August eingeplant. Ich rede dabei übrigens immer von der Auslieferung der physischen Produkte, nicht von dem PDF. Mit Nebula Arcana bin ich mittlerweile komplett durch und im nächsten Schritt erhalten die Bücher ihre Illustrationen. Hierbei ist Geschwindigkeit sprichwörtlich Geld, so dass wir, um das Projekt wirtschaftlich zu halten, ein halbes Jahr für die Illustrationen einplanen müssen. Das gibt uns aber auch die Gelegenheit, alles in einem Abwasch zu produzieren, so dass ihr damit vermutlich euer erstes „komplettes“ Crowdfunding-Paket von uns bekommt, will heißen, alle Produkte in einer Lieferung.

Nach Nebula Arcana folgen die ausstehenden Produkte zu Rippers Resurrected. Hier haben wir uns mal wieder selbst ein Bein gestellt, indem wir euch versprochen haben, die alten Produkte an die neuen Regeln anzupassen. Pinnacle hatte damals einfach nur die alten Dateien kopiert, was natürlich deutlich einfacher und vor allem schneller ist. Aber ich denke, nach so vielen Fehlern, bügeln wir das auch noch aus.



Symbaroum

Das nächste anstehende Produkt für Symbaroum ist die A3-Stoffkarte. Wir erwarten das Sample in den nächsten zehn Tagen. Wenn damit alles gut ist, erreicht uns die finale Lieferung ungefähr eine Woche später, übrigens gemeinsam mit der Deadlands-Stoffkarte.

Für den März haben wir dann den ersten Teil der Chronik des Dornenthrons im Programm, den Zorn des Hüters. Das Spielerhandbuch erwarten wir dann für Juni. Der Abenteuerband 2 soll dann im September erscheinen. Wir werden euch unsere weiteren Pläne mit der Reihe aber in Kürze in einem ausführlicheren Symbaroum-Update vorstellen.



Dresden Files

Mit „Eure Geschichte“ ist nun der der erste Band der Dresden Files als überarbeitetes PDF erschienen. Band 2, „Unsere Welt“, soll im Februar/März folgen. Die gedruckten Bücher in beiden Editionen inklusive der Poster und Lesezeichen haben wir für Mai vorgesehen, idealerweise zur RPC. Einen Monat später erreichen uns dann die Münzen, inklusive Bob-Würfelbecher und Tassen. Für die Paranet-Papiere werden wir noch einmal eine ganze Ecke länger brauchen. Das Buch erscheint voraussichtlich zur SPIEL 2018, dafür aber gemeinsam mit den Würfel-Sets, dem Notizbuch und dem T-Shirt. Die Dresden-Files-Fallakten (Case Files) sind für November geplant.
